I’m a Soundsory provider. I’ve used the system with many clients and everyone has benefited greatly from Soundsory. I use it as an adjunct to other programs in my clinic. My client population ranges from young 5 years old to 80 years old.
Since I see the whole gamut of humanity, I also see many different symptoms that plague each age group. For the younger children I tend to work on attention and improved coordination. The Soundsory system helps this population integrate these skills very smoothly.
For the middle age population, I tend to work on calming and decreasing anxiety. This population finds the music and movements soothing and integrative.
For the elderly population, I work on maintenance of cognitive skills. This population enjoys the music and the movements are soothing because they tend to be stiff. The movements are gentle for this population. Many of them report they use the exercises at home for calming purpose.
The client in the picture is engaged in a gentle cognitive activity as she is enjoying the music. This particular client enjoys the music and looks forward to her sessions with the Soundsory. The client reports she feels very grounded after the music and the movements.
Here my client is focusing on finding puzzle pieces. Using visual scanning and pattern recognition. This client reports improved attention and memory while using the Soundsory and has reported her overall attention has improved since starting the Soundsory and the movements.
The Soundsory program has been key to my client’s success. I often get reports of improved self- regulation, attention, more fluid movements.
I highly recommend other clinicians incorporate the Soundsory program in the clinics. Their clients will thank them.
